How we choose and rank the dentists
Two conditions to be listed, five checks to be ranked. Every fact links to a public source, and the date we checked it is on the page.
To be listed, a dentist must be named on the Ministry of Health’s HealthTürkiye register at an authorised clinic and on that clinic’s own website. Each listed dentist then gets one point for each of five public checks: dental school named, year qualified published, field of work stated, a CV or Turkish Dental Association number published, and a clinic review record of at least 4.5 stars from 50 or more reviews. Our top pick, Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek of Precious Dental, comes first; everyone else is ordered by points, then by register title, then by years in practice.
Who we are
This guide is published by Precious Dental, a dental clinic in Antalya. One of our dentists is in it, and he is our top pick. We are not neutral, and we do not pretend to be. That is why the method uses only facts you can check yourself.
Two conditions to be listed
- On the Ministry register. The dentist is named in the Health Professionals section of HealthTürkiye, at a clinic authorised to treat international patients.
- Named by their clinic. The dentist appears by name on the clinic’s own website.
A dentist who meets both conditions is someone you can look up, and someone the clinic stands behind publicly.
The five checks
- Dental school namedThe university where the dentist qualified is named on the clinic’s website
- Year qualifiedThe year the dentist graduated is published, so you can see how long they have practised
- Field of work statedWhat the dentist mainly does, such as implants, prosthetics, surgery or orthodontics, is stated publicly
- Professional recordA CV or a Turkish Dental Association (TDB) number is published where anyone can read it
- Clinic review recordThe dentist’s clinic has at least 4.5 stars from 50 or more Google or Trustpilot reviews
We give a point only when we found the evidence ourselves, in public. A dash means we did not find it. It does not mean the dentist lacks it, and every profile lists what to ask for.
How the order is decided
- Our top pick first. Our top pick is Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek of Precious Dental, Antalya: passes all 5 public checks, and is named on the Ministry register at a clinic with authorisation ST-4647; works on implant surgery and prosthetics, the treatments most UK patients travel to Türkiye for; publishes his Turkish Dental Association number (49105), so you can look him up yourself; his clinic is rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot from 384 patient reviews and publishes one all-inclusive price: All-on-6 £6,500 for both jaws. Precious Dental publishes this guide.
- Then by checks passed, most first.
- Then by the title on the register: professor, associate professor, doctor or specialist, dentist.
- Then by years in practice as shown on the register.
Where the facts come from
- Title, branch, clinic, experience: HealthTürkiye, read on 22 October 2026.
- Dental school, year, field of work, CV: the clinic’s own website, linked on each profile.
- Reviews: the clinic’s Google rating and review count, read through OpenSEO (DataForSEO) on 22 October 2026, and Trustpilot where a clinic has a page.
What the method cannot see
- How skilled a dentist is at your particular treatment.
- Whether reviews describe that dentist or someone else at the clinic.
- Prices, guarantees and aftercare, which vary by plan. Ask for them in writing.
Common questions
Why is Precious Dental’s dentist first?
Do you rate how good a dentist is?
No. We cannot see inside anyone’s surgery, so we do not give marks for skill. We record facts that anyone can check and leave the judgement to you and your own dentist.
Why does the register title break ties?
Because it is a public, checkable record of training. It does not mean a professor is always the better choice, and our titles guide says so.
How did you choose which dentists to check?
We started with clinics in Istanbul, Izmir and the Aegean resorts that treat international patients and publish named dentists, and included dentists named on both the register and the clinic website. The guide is not a complete list of dentists in Türkiye.
How often is it checked?
Every page shows the date we checked it. We re-check whenever a dentist or clinic sends a correction.
